CS from Guatamala

For the next couple of days we will be enjoying the company of Adela, a Couch Surfer visiting us from Guatemala. She brought Maya a couple of gifts from home.

Working on the coop...

This weekend Haim and Maya have been working on our chicken coop.

There is still a bit of work to be done, but first I have to get the remaining paint out of Maya's hair!

Maya LOVES to play puppy...she even used to make me walk her around the neighborhood on the leash with Bela and Lola...today she got to have a puppy face paint!

Planning for Passover

I've had my head in the sand for the last couple of weeks...I was pretending that Passover was NOT around the corner. I've finally done my guest list, and planned my meals...Passover dinner will be:

tangy cauliflower salad
green salad
eggplant/ dill salad
carrot salad

matzoh ball soup

Moroccan fish

pot roast with orange and dates
spiced quinoa with carrot and zucchini

matzoh baklava
coffee
fresh fruit

We should be having about 10-14 people, and I'm starting to look forward to everything!

Also, we're finally really settling into the house; most of the boxes are unpacked, and only the office really remains to be organized. I probably still have another 8-10 boxes in the garage, but it's rarely used stuff, so I'll get to it as I need it.

Off to take nap now, as Maya is sleeping on her own...I'll seize this rare opportunity!
